HELPFUL LINKS TO WATER CONDITIONS AND FISHING IN BAJA REGULATIONS

To help you have a great experience sport fishing in Baja, we have this page with important information:

To learn about the fishing regulations in Mexico:   Mexico's Fishing Regulations

The waters around Cedros island are dynamic and different on each side of the island. Warmer waters are found in Bahia Vizcaino due to higher residence times, meaning that water circulates and warms in this area. This increases the presence of fish that prefer warmer waters, such as yellowtail and other tropical and subtopical species, which because of this can be found almost year round.

If you want to know the current water temperature around the island, in order to guess which species can be found during your trip, or to understand the dynamic of the currents in Bahia Sebastian Vizcaino, please go to the following link (daily updates from terrafin.com):  Baja Water Temperature Map and look for the image sample of Cedros Island there.

You can also find here a detailed weather graphic report from a local weather station at Cedros Island (in Spanish): Current Weather Conditions. You can also find information about the weather, wind and surf forecast here.
