We are now offering spearfishing and fishing on kayaks at Cedros Island!

The island is perfect for both activities with plenty of fish and clear, calm waters.The diversity of species and habitats makes this a destination with plenty of action and a chance to improve your fishing skills.

SPEARFISHING

Our pangas are the perfect vehicle to get in and out of the water, to move fast to other sites on the island, or to chase the birds. Over the last couple of years more and more spearos are discovering the island's abundant and big yellowtail and other species in kelp, or boilers. Water temperatures vary in the summer between 60 and 72 F. The island is also home to 2nd and 3rd generation abalone divers,

who provide us with expert information about the sites recommended to find the best fish.

KAYAK FISHING 

In late 2011 we began offering kayaks for our clients to fish at Cedros. We can load the kayaks on the pangas to get to the fish and to move around. Jim Sammons ( KAYAK FISHING LA JOLLA, CA ) accompanied us on our first trip and his group had a great time targeting calicos and yellowtail. The kayaks are an excellent platform to get closer to shore or inside the thick kelp on the north and South of Cedros. They are also stable enough to be able to fish a couple miles offshore to get to the yellowtail. If you would like to try them in your next trip just let us know and you can use them free of charge during our 2012 season.
