TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

A Tourist Permit is required to travel in Mexico. We will take you to customs to purchase this during the border crossing. The cost is approximately $22.00 (U.S.). You must bring your valid passport, if you have one, or a photo ID. Minors under the age of 18 must have two notarized copies of both parents’ consent when traveling alone or with one parent. You will also be required to sign our Application and Assumption of Risk when you make your reservation (see Prices and Reservation page). You will NOT be allowed to board our bus or flight without proper documentation.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We recommend the purchase of a short-term travel insurance policy for your protection, as it is always a good idea to have this type of insurance for any adventure travel. (for example http://www.csatravelprotection.com)

SAFETY

Your safety is our first concern. It is important to remember that these trips take place in a wilderness environment, far from hospital services. Engaging in activities such as viewing animals from skiffs, hiking, exploring, fishing and swimming in a natural environment contain certain inherent risks. If at any time you have concerns about your own safety, please advise the guide. Please remember that all participation is voluntary.

WEATHER

This region of the peninsula is not much different from southern California. Temperatures can vary by 10-15 degrees between day and night. Layered clothing is best so that you can make adjustments as necessary. Although it seldom rains, except in winter, it's always a good idea to be prepared for the possibility. A windbreaker is very useful. Most days, a t-shirt and shorts are all you need for strolling on the beach, but the Pacific wind can be very chilly at times. The sun, on the other hand, is usually quite hot, even in winter. Sunburn and dehydration, in any weather, should be guarded against. Our activities are dictated to some degree by the weather, and safety is always our primary concern. Please follow the suggested clothing list closely and if you have any questions about whether your gear is appropriate, call us. For approximatye weather conditions try an on-line weather service.

COMFORT AND HEALTH

Meals at the restaurant are traditional Mexican food in the local style. This typically includes fresh seafood, beans, rice, vegetables, etc., with specific ingredients varying by season. Please inform us prior to departure if you have any dietary concerns. If you have a chronic condition that warrants medical attention and could cause you trouble, or if you have any doubts about your physical condition, we ask that you consult your doctor and/or have a physical examination. Discuss with your doctor the details of the trip described in our literature, and let your doctor determine your fitness for this. Even though we will have adequate first-aid and emergency gear, we will be in a remote area far from medical facilities.

Cancellation Policy

To keep our prices low, we need a certain number of people for each open charter.

If we can’t meet that minimum we will book you into the next trip or refund your deposit, at your request.

All client cancellations must be made in writing. Final trip payments are refundable if received within 10 days of scheduled travel.

Deposits are non-refundable within 30 days of scheduled travel.
