BAHIA ASUNCION is a beautiful and relaxed small town, located on the west coast, mid-Baja Peninsula on a long sandy beach. Here you will find excellent fishing in pangas, off the rocks, spearfishing and surf casting. Bahia Asuncion is an outstanding fishing destination, especially in what is considered the off-season in most other places. Until recently, this area was reachable only after several hours in car from the nearest town, or about 15 hours non-stop from the border. Now you can get to this remote location from the US in just a few hours, safely and easily, on our fly-in fishing trips.

Bahia Asuncion offers a wide variety of sport fishing from beach casting for halibut, corvina, croaker and even yellowtail in the fall. You can cast off the rocks for cabrilla (calico bass), spear fish for grouper, jig for black bass or troll for prize yellowtail. Juan Arce will expertly guide you to the fishing grounds of your choice aboard their fleet of pangas (22-24’). Juan and his crew have fished these waters all their lives and enjoy sharing their knowledge of the area.

Our fishing packages include: ground transportation from California (flying from Ensenada or San Diego), all meals prepared by your hosts with lots of seafood in the menu, fishing in pangas with guides, and accomodations.

Accommodations include several options. Houses on the beach with 1 -3 bedrooms with comfortable beds, kitchen, bathroom, own UV water purification system, internet and other services, within walking distance of downtown, and a beach palapa restaurant.
